Fear is spreading around Brockley Drive in Delmar. As the days go by without any official word on just what happened to Peter and Joan Porco, speculation is mounting.

Neighbor Ken Ogden said, "Looking around, watching, wondering if there's someone around. Waiting for police to do something."
Forensic experts were back at the murder scene for the third day. Police said there is a lot more to do inside the house and a lot more evidence to be collected. Before noon on Monday, 52-year-old Peter Porco was found dead from blunt force trauma to the head, his wife Joan found severely beaten. Police, even three days later, still have no suspect.
Albany County DA Paul Clyne said, "The level of tension associated with the case should be high. I'm not saying there's a maniac on the loose in Bethlehem. But it is still a possibility that this homicide was the result of a random burglary. That's a possibility."
Police said in the past year there have been two burglaries at the Porcos' home, but they aren't saying if there's any connection to the murder. Joan Porco, 54, remains at Albany Med in serious condition.
Police said her sons, 23-year-old Jonathan and 21-year-old Christopher, are staying by her side. The yellow jeep Christopher drove was registered in Peter Porco's name and is now with the Bethlehem PD. Police are looking into his E-Z Pass toll records to find out where he was at the time of the murder.
Clyne said, "I wouldn't say he's a suspect. Theoretically, he's a person that theoretically possesses information."
Neighbors are remaining on high alert, but said they trust the Bethlehem PD.
Ogden said, "I know they're working as hard as they can. Lot of work. But we trust them."
On Wednesday night, a family friend discounted some media reports that one of the Porco's sons, Christopher, was close to being charged with the crime.
John Polster said, "The police have been at the hospital continuously, and the family has been there. There has been frequent contact between the police, family members and Christopher, and there has been no arrest."
