A three-step process that can fix stained, dull teeth in under an hour is being dubbed the "Tooth Facial." YNN's Kafi Drexel filed the following report.

There's a reason why patients coming to Dr. Jennifer Jablow's dental office call her "The Smilemaker." Recognizing the fact that your teeth have pores just like your skin, she's come up with a new system called "Tooth Facial" to help achieve brighter and whiter smiles.

"So the tooth facial is what I created through a company of products called IntelliWhite. It is a quick beneficial way to whiten your teeth and make your gums and teeth healthier at the same time and in a high level of comfort," says Jablow. "You know sometimes when you hear about teeth whitening at the dental office all you think about is those zingers. You know you are going to get lightning strikes and it is going to hurt and it takes a long amount of time."

The three part treatment be done in 30 to 45 minutes depending on how much staining your teeth have. The first step is a pre-treating polish before the whitening process. It cleans your teeth and helps the whitener to penetrate and work faster. The edge of what can usually be an uncomfortable treatment is taken off with desensitizing agents.

After the treatment you will definitely have a brighter smile. But it is not just about how you look. It's about giving a boost to your overall health too.

Jablow says you can see a real health benefit especially with the third and final part of her "Tooth Facial." She calls it the "Anti-Aging Health Tooth & Gum Treatment" where a gel delivers antioxidants to the gums along with soothing properties to prevent discomfort and promote moisture in the mouth.

"Your gum tissue is very important to stay healthy and fight inflammation and fight bacteria because that is what houses your teeth in your mouth, Jablow notes. "And that is where the bacteria is harbored. No matter how old you are, if you have bacteria in your tissue, or puffy gums, swollen gums, inflammation that's going to age your body overall."

Improving your smile and your health in under an hour? Sounds like magic. No wonder Jablow's patients also call her the "Tooth Fairy."
