UNITED STATES -- We have a nationwide recall alert to tell you about. The CDC is recalling Diamond Pet Food products due to a salmonella outbreak.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says they are investigating the outbreak after 14 people got sick. Officials say the affected dog food was manufactured in South Carolina but salmonella has been detected in nine states. They believe the people got sick after coming into contact with the dogs that ate the food.
The recall affects several brands manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods.
