JACKSON, N.Y. -- One person was injured when a small plane flipped over during take-off on Saturday. It happened at Chapin's Airport in the Town of Jackson in Washington County at around 4 p.m.
The pilot, Bruce Faller, said as he was taking off, a cross wind came up and flipped over the 1965 Cessna 172.
Two passengers were on board: Faller’s wife, Wendy Faller, and Louise Joyce. Joyce was taken to the hospital to be treated for a shoulder injury.
The Federal Aviation Unit was notified and a representative will be inspecting the aircraft at a later date.
