PITTSFIELD, MASS. -- A Pittsfield woman is dead after an early-morning fire over the weekend.
Fire officials said they were called to 91 Orchard Street around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. Once they got inside the house, they found the body of 59-year-old Claudette Roberts in her first floor apartment.
An autopsy is planned to determined the cause of death.
Crews tell us they were able to contain the fire to the one apartment where it started. Officials said the home is not a complete loss.
The Red Cross is providing relief for at least two adults and a child.
