UNITED STATES -- There are now three confirmed winning tickets in the more than half billion dollar mega millions Jackpot.
One player from the Hudson Valley almost hit it big. The Stewarts at 99 Main Street in Ellenville sold a ticket for the second prize of $250,000. That person matched all five numbers, but did not have the winning mega ball number.
The winning tickets were sold in Illinois Kansas and Maryland, each cashing in on the $640 million jackpot.
One of those tickets was purchased at this 7-Eleven in Baltimore. And we may never know who bought that one.
Stephen Martino, Director of the Maryland Lottery said, “Maryland is one of the few states that does not require publicity of its lottery winners, so we had two Powerball jackpot winners last year, and neither one of them decided to do any publicity; so we'll have to see what happens."
The other winner was sold in Red Bud, Illinois just outside Saint Louis. CNN is reporting the third was sold in the northeast part of Kansas.
If you missed the numbers last night, grab your tickets because here they are, 2-4-23-38-46 and the mega ball was 23. Good luck.
