ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- County Executive Mike Hein is trying to take a bite out of childhood obesity. He will host a news conference 11 a.m. Monday to unveil Ulster County's new after school healthy snack guidelines.

This program comes after a study showed last year that New York has a growing obesity problem. 17.1 percent of children are obese in New York State.

Last year, New York ranked the 16th most obese state in the nation.
