KEENE, N.H. -- The 23-year-old man who led police on a multi-state search, triggering an Amber Alert, following a fire in Washington County was arraigned on a fugitive of justice charge in New Hampshire.
Matthew Slocum agreed to return to New York for questioning regarding the fatal fire in White Creek that killed his mother, stepfather, and stepbrother.
Slocum is accused of taking his girlfriend, Loretta Colegrove, 25, against her will, as well as their 4-month-old son, Raymond, after the fire.
Slocum surrendered to police in New Hampshire Wednesday night. Colegrove and the child were not hurt and walked out of a New Hampshire home only moments before Slocum surrendered.
