Vosburgh pleads guilty to manslaughter in son's shooting death

ALBANY, N.Y. -- A Coeymans man pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Albany County Court Wednesday for the shooting death of his 18-year-old son.

The Albany County District Attorney's office said Glenn Vosburgh, 44, shot his son, Craig, in the back on March 16 at their home on Route 9W. Vosburgh was taken into custody at a friend's house in Rensselaerville later that day.

He was originally charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

In accordance with the plea deal, Vosburgh will serve 19 years in prison.
