ALBANY, N.Y. -- A ceremony is taking place today to honor parole officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Officials with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and the Board of Parole will conduct the ceremony.

The Honor Guard will be on hand and officials will lay a wreath at the memorial.

The ceremony takes place on the Empire State Plaza near the memorials honoring police officers and crime victims.
