ALBANY, N.Y. -- An additional meeting yesterday afternoon addressed the death of Nahcream Moore, 19.

Moore was shot and killed by an Albany police officer after a traffic stop Thursday night.
The police chief said Moore reached for a loaded handgun, and that's when officer Gregory Mulligan fired.

The department held a press conference Friday, but it led to a heated exchange between them and family members.

At yesterday's meeting, members of SNUG, an anti-violence program, were on hand. They said this is a time for everyone to come together as a community, to help each other heal.
Jamel Muhamad of the SNUG program said, “On the other side we're looking to see how we can we be more responsible as a community, and what can we do to take on the challenges our young people are having, and are putting them at risk to be in this situations or shooting each other, hands of police, cognizant to the criminal justice system at all."

Officer Mulligan and his partner are now on leave while an internal investigation continues.
