Some Sun Starting to Show Up
Gradual Warm Up, Scattered Showers Next Few Days
A warm and humid atmosphere remains over us with a weak low pressure trough in the area and weak winds as well. As yesterday's low moves further away, slow drying will lead to some breaks of sun. Moisture will be a bit more plentiful to the south where clouds mayl hang in a little tougher and scattered showers and a locally heavy thunderstorm are more likely than areas from Albany north, where temps should top out around 80 today with only an isolated shower or storm.
Over the next couple of days high pressure will build over the North Atlantic, putting us in a southeast to southerly flow of humid and increasingly warm air but not without scattered pop up showers and storms, mainly during the warmest portion of the day.
By the holiday weekend, even warmer air moves in from the west, but a frontal zone will also be in the vicinity so expect highs well into the 80s with a showers or storm possible each day.
