LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- House Speaker John Boehner is in the area tonight for a fundraiser. The Republican will be in Lake George to throw his support behind Matt Doheny in the 21st Congressional District race.
Doheny will face incumbent Democrat Bill Owens in the fall. Owens currently represents the 23rd Congressional District, but will face a challenge from Doheny to represent the newly formed 21st Congressional District, which includes the northern edge of the Capital Region.
Tonight's fundraiser is closed to the media. Organizers are holding a $150 per plate reception with Boehner at The Inn at Erlowest tonight.
