ALBANY, N.Y. -- Many may think running a marathon is a lot, but one Monroe resident is going to the extreme and running the entire distance of the Hudson River.

That means ultrarunner Todd Jennings will be running a total of 315 miles at an average of 40 miles a day.

Jennings isn't just doing this for fun. He says he is running to bring awareness and support to Hudson River Sloop Clearwater’s mission to preserve and protect the Hudson River.

"To help them fun their ongoing initiatives and new programs. I'm an environmentalist from when I was very young and clean water is extremely important to me," Jennings said.

Jennings’ next stop is Catskill. He hopes to finish the run this Saturday in New York City.
