The Siena men's lacrosse team has been the team to beat in the MAAC the past several years. The Saints are in search of their 3rd MAAC championship in 4 seasons, but they'd have to get through the semifinals in order to get to that championship game once again.
First seeded Siena taking on 4th seeded Marist in the MAAC semis.
Third quarter game tied at 6. Marist's Jim Marks finds Evan Guarini for the score to give the Red Foxes the 7-6 lead.
Later in the quarter Saints looking to tie things up, Chris Roth with the nice move to beat his defender and that ties things up at 7 apiece.
Less than a minute after that, Nate Barry takes it to the cage and scores his 2nd goal of the game to give Siena the lead 8-7.
Fourth quarter Saints trying to pull away, on the man-up, Colin Clive rips one home. That's his 4th goal of the game. 9-7 Siena.
Later in the quarter Siena still up by 2, make that 3. Danny Martinsen extends his scoring streak with that goal and gives Siena the 11-8 lead.
Shen grad Brett Bernardo adds a goal late for Marist, but it's not enough. Siena is moving on to the MAAC Finals Sunday with the 11-9 win over Marist.
