POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- City of Poughkeepsie police have released a surveillance image of the vehicle suspected to be involved in a hit and run that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

Police said a 56-year-old woman was hit by a light-colored SUV in the area of 556 Main Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle may have damage to the front passenger side and possibly a broken headlight.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is hospitalized in serious condition.
