SCHOHARIE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Families are still trying to recover from tropical storm Irene and the remnants of Lee, and for those with teenagers, there is the added stress of prom season being right around the corner.
Knowing many people in flood ravaged communities might not have been able to afford to send their teens off to the prom, employees at Ellis hospital made a big donation to "Project Cinderella".
Employees donated prom dresses, shoes and other accessories to teens at Schoharie High School.
They said they just want students to enjoy the night without worrying about breaking the bank, and the students said it will help them make the night unforgettable.
Project Cinderella is sponsored by the New York Disaster Relief Fund.
