BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Veterans returning home after active duty may face a different kind of battle. They could have a problem finding a job.

A job fair took place at Indian Point Energy Center in Westchester County to help veterans find jobs and get back on their feet.

Entergy is one of the newest members of the Chamber of Commerce’s "Hiring Our Heroes" campaign. More than 100 employers and hundreds of vets were on hand at the job fair. Organizers said this is nationwide effort.

"It is just an easy way to bring veterans together with a long list of excellent employers, who have good quality, middle class jobs and are looking to hire. It just makes the transition, the transaction a lot easier, a lot quicker and that is why we are doing it all around the country," said Seth Harris, Deputy Secretary of Labor.

Two Entergy employees were recently interviewed by Tom Brokaw at Indian Point to highlight the national campaign.
