NEW SCOTLAND, N.Y. -- The discovery of a body is under investigation in the town of New Scotland.
Albany county sheriff Craig Apple said they received the call around 1 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies found the body of a 23-year-old Delmar man on the train tracks behind a house on Youmans Road. They have not yet released the man's identity.
Sheriff Apple said it appears the man committed suicide by laying down in front of the train, as it approached the Selkirk rail yard.
