NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- The man who was killed during an officer-involved shooting in the City of Newburgh is laid to rest today.

The funeral for Michael Lembhard, 22, is being held at the House of Refuge. He will be buried at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.

Police said four members of the anti-crime unit chased Lembhard, who was wanted, into a home on Wednesday night. Two of the officers shot Lembhard when they said he came at them with a knife.

Family members are outraged, saying the shooting was not justified.

The district attorney said a grand jury will review the incident.
