ALBANY, N.Y. -- An air quality test at Albany High School shows there is no contamination at the school. That's according to the Department of Environmental Conservation and the state Health Department.

The air quality test was done after recent surveys of adjacent property found soil that was contaminated.

The Environmental Protection Agency was notified last Thursday by the U.S. Army, which owns the property on Washington Avenue near North Main Avenue, about the elevated levels of contaminants in the groundwater below the fence line.

Preliminary results from this past weekend indicated that there is no reason for concern at the high school.
