POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- An escape to the Galleria turned into an educational trip for some families in Poughkeepsie Sunday.

Several officers from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department volunteered their time to showcase some of their equipment in the mall's corridors.

They said it's a great way to meet and bond with residents in the community, by offering child fingerprinting services and a police K-9 demonstration.
