ALBANY, N.Y. -- Activists will rally at the state Capitol Tuesday ahead of Governor Andrew Cuomo's State of the State address, which is on Wednesday. The 23rd annual People's State of the State rally will take place tomorrow at noon.
Members of the Hunger Action Network hope the governor's address will call for raising the state's minimum wage to $10 an hour. They're also calling for more funding for emergency food programs, campaign finance reform and other social issues.
After the rally, the group will deliver a list of priorities for the upcoming session to Senate majority leader Dean Skelos.
