SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Stillwater man is facing drug and assault charges after he was kicked out of a Saratoga bar.

Police patrolling Caroline Street say security from Desperate Annie’s Bar approached them just before 4 a.m. Saturday. They say they were told Nicholas Callahan, 26, was causing problems and refused to leave.

As officers went to the bar, they say Callahan pushed his way out. Officers tried to stop him, but they say he shoved officers and then took off running.

Police say they eventually caught Callahan in front of the library on Henry Street. While being processed, police found cocaine and pills on him as well.
