NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- People in Times Square got a sneak peak of the New Year's Eve festivities in Times Square.

Organizers conducted the annual “airworthiness test” of the confetti that will be used on the 31st. When the ball drops, one ton of confetti will be tossed by more than a hundred so-called confetti engineers over seven Time Square roof tops.

"It looked great. I can't wait to or I wish I could see it on New Year’s Eve with the crowd and confetti," said Allison Hagendorf. "I think it's pretty awesome. It's a lot of fun. Gets me excited for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s. There's definitely a confetti tossing strategy and I found that once I declump and fluff, if you will, lovingly toss, then it will float."

Written on that confetti is wishes from people for the New Year.
