Kids take advantage of snowy weather

The snow is making for plenty of inconvenience around the Capital Region. But for the children off from school this week, it’s a welcomed surprise. Our Vince Gallagher has more from Capital Hills Golf Course in Albany.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Many schools are off this week for Christmas break, and kids in the area took advantage of all the snow and had some fun. Capital Hills Golf Course in Albany was packed on Thursday with people sledding.

We caught up with one person between trips down the hill who says she couldn't be happier with the snowfall.

"I'm a snow person. People in the northeast, some are like I don't want snow. Then why are you here? This is what it is about. I love it!" said Joclyn Gallagher, an Albany resident.

With several inches of snow in most areas, and more in the forecast for this weekend, there should be plenty more chances for sledding over the next couple of days.
