SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 100-year-old New York State license plate will soon be going on display at the Saratoga County Clerk's office.

The porcelain license plate, featuring white numbers on a bright red background, was made before there was a DMV. The state switched to steel license plates because the porcelain ones cracked.

The rare plate was produced in 1912.
