TROY, N.Y. -- Firefighters say an overnight fire in Troy is suspicious.

Police tell us a call came in just before 2 a.m. Sunday for a fire on the corner of 115th Street and 2nd Avenue.

According to police, two buildings were involved in the smoky fire. Upon arrival, one home was heavily involved and then the flames spread to another house nearby.

There is no word yet on any injuries or the extent of damage to the homes.

Police also say there is no indication that this fire is connected to others in the city months ago.

Roads in the area have since re-opened.
