ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Victory Christian Church in Albany got into the holiday spirit this weekend with a toy giveaway.

The church bought a truck and filled it with thousands of toys.They gave some to local charities and the Albany Boys and Girls Club and sent others to victims of Superstorm Sandy. The rest were given out Saturday to families who might not be able to afford them otherwise.

“This is good for the family, the community, giving free gifts to everybody. Some need it more than others. I really appreciate, it's a good way to enjoy your Christmas,” Tyrone Dutton said.

About 2,000 toys were handed out on Saturday.
