SCHODACK, N.Y. -- Calling hours will be held today in Rensselaer for the 33-year-old Schodack woman who police say was stabbed by her estranged boyfriend. Jason Gynup, 29, faces second degree murder charges in the case.

It happened early Sunday morning when emergency crews were called to a home on Bri lan Avenue for a domestic dispute. When state police arrived, they say they found Nikki Hart stabbed in the neck. She was pronounced dead at Albany Memorial hospital.

Gynup was found a short time later after he crashed his car on Hayes Road in East Greenbush. Police found him nearby on Route 9J, and took him into custody.

Calling hours will be from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Rockefeller Funeral home in Rensselaer. Funeral services for Hart will be held Thursday morning at the Holy Spirit Church in East Greenbush.
