It's a Christmas miracle for one Fulton County family. After undergoing a risky procedure, Jackson Baldwin is back home for the holidays. And as YNN's Maria Valvanis explains, Santa can't wait to bring him the toys he could never play with before.

FULTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- It's a special Christmas for Jackson Baldwin. He and his mother, Jessica, got back from Minnesota earlier this month, where baby Jax underwent a risky bone marrow transplant to treat his skin disease, Epidermolysis Bullosa.

"This Christmas will definitely be a special one, last Christmas many of the doctors were pretty certain Jackson wouldn't be around to see this Christmas," said Jessica Valik.

But Jackson made the impossible, possible.

"Walking, talking, playing with his cousins," said Jessica Valik.

His Aunt Lindsey said, "They're very excited to have him home, miss playing with him, and whenever we we're talking to them on the phone they'd say 'can we talk to Jackson.'"

Jackson's skin is now tougher, meaning for the first time ever, he can play with toys, like most kids.

"I was overwhelmed you go into the aisles and 'I'm like I want to get him that, no I want to get him that,'" said his Aunt Ashley.

Lynn Carter-Orsell, Jax's grandmother, said, "He can play with things now that he couldn't play with before, he can wear clothes he couldn't wear before."

And it's not just his family that wants to spoil the little fighter this Christmas. Presents from supporters across the country are waiting for him under the tree.

"He's been through so much and I think he deserves to have a good Christmas, his family is glad to have him back home," said Jessica.
