Rafting guide pleads guilty

By: Web Staff

NORTH CREEK, N.Y. -- A 37-year-old man pleads guilty to criminally negligent homicide in connection to a fatal white water rafting incident.

Rory Fay is a guide for the Hudson River Rafting Company. He's accused of getting drunk on a rafting trip back on September 27th.

Police said Fay was operating a raft with Richard Clar and Tamara Blake. Police said the group hit some rapids and got tossed from the raft. Clar and Fay were able to swim to shore, but Blake's body was found downstream.

Fay also pleaded guilty to aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated. He faces up to a year in prison when he's sentenced.
