ALBANY, N.Y. -- Today is the day to dust off those ice skates and head down to Empire State Plaza in Albany. It's opening day at the ice rink!

If you don't own any skates, don't worry, you can rent a pair near the rink. Also, every Friday is Hannaford Supermarket’s free skate rentals Friday.

If you're not into skating, there will still be plenty of music and other family friendly entertainment to enjoy.

The rink will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. all winter.
