SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 58-year-old Greenfield Center woman convicted of animal cruelty is back in jail after violating the terms of her probation.

The Saratoga County District Attorney says Ann Arnold of Greenfield violated her probation by having 17 horses delivered to her farm earlier this month.

Back in May, Arnold was convicted of 19 counts of animal cruelty and sentenced to three years probation after 19 malnourished and neglected horses were found on her property.

While the horses sent to her farm nearly two weeks ago are believed to be in good health, one term of Arnold's probation was that no horses are allowed to be kept on her property for the next three years. She also failed to provide a mental health evaluation to the court.

A hearing is scheduled for next month.
