TROY, N.Y. – A similar effort is underway in Troy, where the Commission on Economic Opportunity is putting together bags of food for people in need.

The bags of food include everything you'd need to put on a Thanksgiving meal.

CEO's leaders say while they do several drives to help the needy during the holidays, they work all year long to provide services to help out.

"Families that we work with throughout the year. Trying to help them become self-sufficient. We identified these 125 as needing a little extra help on the holiday," said Karen Gordon, Executive Director of CEO.

Troy’s Mayor Lou Rosamilia was at the drive to help out.
