ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Albany County Legislature is expected to vote tonight on the pawn law that's been a hot topic for the county over the past several months. Before they vote, the public will get a chance to weigh in one more time.

Back in October, the legislature decided what's being called 'Local Law G' should be sent back to the committee for review. Some lawmakers were concerned with the bill's language after some of it was changed.

The law would require pawn shops to create an electronic registry of all the items a store receives as a means of recovering stolen goods that may be pawned. Shop owners would have to report sellers' names, and would hold goods for a set length of time.

Tonight's meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the County Courthouse on Eagle Street in Albany.
