SARATOGA RACE COURSE -- Between Friday’s Fabulous Fillies day and Saturday's Grade One Alabama, it's all about the girls at the Saratoga Race Course this weekend.

Being considered a champion making type of race, the Alabama is featuring many of the top contenders for the title. Saturday's stakes will feature winners like Grace Hall, who took the Delaware Oaks, and It Shooting to be the first filly in 80 years to win both the Spin Away and the Alabama.

Also giving the competition a run for their money is a filly called Questing, who ran a big race in the Coaching Club American Oaks.

"If Grace Hall or Questing in particular, if one of those two horses win the race, they're going to be right at the top of the three-year-old Filly division. Believe You Can was going to be here, but her trainer decided not to enter her. She won the Kentucky Oaks, which is a huge race in this division. So she's out and it doesn't look like she's going to run again this year. So for these two horses, in particular, a win here could put them in a good position to win a three-year-old Filly title," racing analyst Mike Kane said.

The only potential thing holding back Questing is her jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. Ortiz was thrown from his horse Friday. He went to Saratoga Hospital with an ankle injury, but x-rays were negative and he's since been cleared to ride.
