MASSACHUSETTS -- A new law in Massachusetts is giving expelled and suspended students more educational options. Under the new law, school districts will now be required to provide educational programs for those students.
The law also slashes the maximum number of days a student can be excluded from a classroom from 180 days to 90.
Schools will now be required to consider alternative disciplinary actions and give the state more accurately report discipline data.
