Police make arrest in signal wire theft
WATERFORD, N.Y. -- Waterford police have arrested the man who they say stole 1,000 feet of signal wire off the Waterford-Cohoes railroad bridge. Police say after investigating for nearly a month, they arrested Damon Christopher Durocher, 47, of Troy.
They say the missing wire caused railroad dispatchers to lose contact with all trains.
Durocher now faces several charges, including felony grand larceny and reckless endangerment.
