Colonie man arrested on burglary charges
GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- A Colonie man has been arrested after police say he stole more than $3,000 worth of property, including two speeding bikes, from a Glenville home.
Glenville police arrested Jason Dyer, 24, after the homeowner later found the bikes for sale on EBay. They were located at a pawn shop in Dyer's neighborhood.
Police responded to the pawn shop and the owner confirmed that Dyer sold the bikes.
Dyer has been charged with one count of burglary in the third degree and one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, both felonies. He was arraigned and sent to the Schenectady County Jail.
During the investigation, police say they also found Dyer with a small golf medallion, another bicycle, Army memorabilia and roller blades.
Anyone who thinks they may have been a victim is asked to call Glenville Police at (518) 384-3444.
