ORANGE COUNTY -- The region has been seeing a bit of a dry spell recently but the rain came back with a vengeance this past weekend.

Large sections of the Hudson Valley were hit hard with rain, heavy wind gusts blowing down trees and power lines and knocking out lights for more than a thousand Orange County homes on Sunday.

After weeks of no rain and temperatures in the high 80s and 90s, many areas are saw multiple inches of rain and flash floods.

Isolated storms are also in Monday's forecast for many parts of the region.
