WATERFORD, N.Y. -- There is a traffic alert for drivers in Saratoga County on Saturday. Several roads will be closed throughout Waterford for the annual Hudson Mohawk Volunteer Firefighters Association Convention's parade.

Beginning at noon, Hudson River Road will be closed at Brookwood Road. Lanes on the Troy-Waterford bridge will be closed heading into Waterford. Also, Middletown Road will be closed at Washington Avenue and Broad Street will be closed at 8th Street.

There will be several traffic diversions due to these closures. The parade is expected to take three to four hours, and police said the roads will be reopened as quickly as possible.
