SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The 9/11 memorial, "Tempered by Memory", will finally make its way to a permanent home. Saratoga Arts announced the 24-foot sculpture will be escorted to High Rock Park by the Saratoga Springs Police Department on July 27.

The sculpture, made of steel from the World Trade Center, has been in Gansevoort since its completion. It was originally set to be unveiled on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 in front of the Saratoga City Center, but staff thought the massive sculpture would block their entrance. A city committee eventually recommended High Rock Park as its final home.
