Adirondack Council's executive director is stepping down
ELIZABETHTOWN, N.Y. -- After ten years of serving as the Executive Director of the Adirondack Council, Brian Houseal is stepping down.
The board of trustees said Houseal will stay until the end of October and then Deputy Director Diane Fish will take over as acting director until a replacement is found.
One of council's biggest accomplishments under Houseal is the push for the Cross State Pollution Rule which cut pollution from power plants in 23 states. Houseal also co-founded the Common Ground Alliance, which brought together developers and environmental leaders.
