SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Schenectady police are searching for a suspect after a stabbing in the city. They say a 61-year-old man was stabbed at the corner of Becker and Elm Streets just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the male suspect is still on the loose after following two leads with no success.

"There was some disagreement down here,” said Sgt. Matt Dearing. “We're still talking to some people and to the gentleman up at the hospital as to who was involved and what actually triggered the event."

Police say the victim is in stable condition at Albany Med with a single stab wound to his left side.
