TROY, N.Y. -- The Tri-City ValleyCats season is already underway, but it really hits home for local fans Wednesday night with their home opener.

The ValleyCats opened up their season on Monday night on the road, beating the Vermont Lake Monsters, 10-2. Vermont evened up the series Tuesday night, as they won 7-4.

Wednesday night will be the third game of their four-game series with Vermont. All fans at the game will get a 2012 schedule magnet. First pitch is at 7:00 pm at the Joe. Gates open at 5:45 pm.
