PITTSTOWN, N.Y. -- Richard Seror says his dad's arms are mutilated after two pit bulls bit him more than a 100 times Wednesday evening. Friday, Pittstown Town Court ordered both dogs be euthanized and a third dog evaluated.

"I got news for you," said Seror. "She tried to bite me a few times, and I would consider that pretty violent. "I mean, you can't even walk around a corner without getting bit yourself and I live there?"

Police said all three dogs have a violent history. Some neighbors who've complained in the past say action should've been taken sooner.

"You got dogs running in the street, running loose like that and they're vicious," said neighbor Wilbert Harris. "That's a public safety."

"I think town officials have dropped the ball, and I think Mrs. Seror has been deceitful in this whole thing," said neighbor Edward Kepner. "We've all approached them verbally about this and they've refused to do anything until it's gotten out of hand."

Dog owner Cathy Seror left the courtroom in tears and refused comment after the court ordered two of the dogs be euthanized. Others in the courtroom made it clear they're relieved to have two fewer dogs to worry about.

"As long as we keep those numbers down and we keep the dogs out of that neighborhood that were there, I think it's going to be real beneficial for that neighborhood," said Pittstown Dog Warden Dan Gifford.

The court requires evaluation results be returned Wednesday. If deemed safe, the third dog can be returned to Cathy Seror.
