ALBANY, N.Y. -- Another motorcycle accident in the Capital Region has been reported.

According to police, the accident happened around 4:00 PM on Friday afternoon. Wayne Gibbs, 56 of Beacon, lost control of his Harley Davidson while merging into the southbound lane of the Thruway near exit 24, said State Troopers.

Officials said he hit the guardrail and was thrown from the bike. Gibbs was treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center.

Police believe speed was a factor.
