SPRINGFIELD, MA. -- Massachusetts Democrats have picked Elizabeth Warren as their senate candidate to battle Republican Scott Brown in the upcoming election.

The state democratic party chose her at its convention in Springfield this weekend. She captured 95 percent of the delegates. A recent poll by the Boston Globe showed her running even with Brown.

Representatives of both candidates said the two have agreed to debate. A date for that has yet to be determined.
