Start your engines for Lake George's Americade Motorcycle Rally. Running Tues through Sunday, the bike event is in its twenty-ninth year as the world's largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally. The event usually draws more than 50,000 riders and passengers and hosts several exhibits, vendors and rides.
For decades, Saratoga residents believed that Don McLeans hit, "American Pie", was written in their hometown. The songwriter himself set the record straight last year, but acknowledged that he did spend plenty of time in the city. He will be heading there on Friday to perform at Skidmore as part of the four-day arts festival. The show will kick off the summer in Saratoga.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that can harden your skin and affect your entire body. A walk to raise money for the illness will take place on Saturday at Crossgates Mall. Our Marcie Frasier has done health stories on the topic and spoke with a woman living with scleroderma about the upcoming fundraiser, Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma.
